Monday, March 31st
Hmmm... The week before spring break always goes on forever!
I'm out of links, so send me some good ones!
Wow. What a day. We watched a cool propaganda film from WWII in history today. Some things of note: apparently the Japanese are known as our "buck-toothed bretheren", there were baby assembly lines, and this was considered entertainment. Hmm... glad to live in the age of the computer! Ooh, more good news: I FINALLY FINISHED TALE OF TWO CITIES! It's about time I finished, I'll have to review it on Xar's site sometime. Not too much more to add, except that Mr. Simonds hasn't changed at all since I had him for English in 7th grade. If you could see me as I wrote this, you would note the shudder as the memory reached the core of my brain... That's all for today, I had more, but I kept clicking on links on AIM and accidentally deleting my post. Gotta remember not to do that in the future!

Sunday, March 30th
I'm afraid of Middle Schoolers
The best media player around, Winamp
More hiking and backpacking today. Unfortunately, most of the people I was with were Middle Schoolers. They bug me, many reasons, don't want to go there. Now I'm sitting at home, just took a shower and cleaned up all my stuff. Time for math homework! Yay. I love math homework.... zzzz... yeah. So anyway, that's about it.

Saturday, March 29th
Today's italic message goes here!
Take .gif files and turn them into text!
Today I was backpacking along the Deschutes. It was hot, but a lot of fun. Found some snakes, none of them were rattlesnakes though. I'd have to say that the highlight of the trip was climbing the huge hills around camp. I took four two-mile trips up and down the hills, which must have been about 1000 feet high, and 45 degrees. Hard work, but good view. Hope some of the pictures come out well. I'm tired now, and since I'm posting this on Sunday, it loses some of the "newness". Oh well.

Friday, March 28th
The last Friday before the last Friday before Spring break!
I haven't looked at this one much, but it was reccomended by Xar
Well, overall not a bad day. No jazz band, so I got to sleep in. I had tests in history, English and Spanish, but the only one that was really hard was the history test, and I won't know how I did on that for another week or so. Got home, and it was sunny and dry, so I got a chance to slaughter some wildflowers! (Ok, it was mowing the lawn, but same thing really. The place looks like a battlefield)... Oh crap! I have a half-dozen middle schoolers coming over tonight for my brother's birthday. It kinda makes me wonder what I did in a past life to deserve this. I'll probably spend most of my time avoiding them, like I am now. I still have to pack for camping, so that'll give me something to do. Too bad I'm the only one online right now...

Thursday, March 27th
Happy Birthday Spenser!
Here's a game everyone can enjoy!
Thanks to Xar for the good links, you'll see a couple more of tehm in the next few days. There really wasn't too much worth telling about today, except that we had a band concery. Yay. Ok, now that that's over with, I have a problem. Apparently the trip to Canada and the Venture SCUBA trip are the same weekend. This is bad, seeing as I've already paid to go on both... Any help / advice would be appreciated, although I'm guessing that anything I hear about this will be more on the side of ridicule. I can see it now: "Ha ha ha. Do you see me caring? Sucks to be you!"

Wednesday, March 26th
Hmm... Today wasn't so fast... But at least they're shipping the CD player!
If you knew the tracking number, you could watch a package come to my house
Ok, I'll admit the link above sucks. But I needed somewhere to put it where I didn't have to go to my email. Plus I'm running low on good weblinks, if you know of any, sent them my way. (Again, laziness prevents me from putting any html here, use the "email me" link at the top of the page!) Really a slow day at school, except for Nick's plans to start a Facist party... More on that from Nick's blog, assuming he ever develops the intelligence necessary to use it. (The intelligence I'm talking about is the same about it takes to be smarter than Elias... Enough said.) About that tracking number, if you still care, it's 1Z85X8780343472628. Thats about it, except that it's still 6 MONTHS UNTIL I CAN GET MY DRIVER'S LICENSE! I already drive better than most of the morons on the road, and 99% of everyone who parks at Skyview. Oh well... Thanks to the Killer Lemming for this rant!

Tuesday, March 25th
Wow. Today went by fast...
There's probably nothing interesting here, but oh well.
For anyone who is interested, I updated the cupholder link from Sunday with one that works! Today was actually a pretty good day in school, especially Spanish class. Mr. Russell went off on a "slackerville" tangent today, so we got to hear his "eye story." Apparently he enjoys bugging his eyes out ans scaring innocent people. (Old ladies, waiters, students, parents...) The fire drill ensured that we would indeed do no real work. Darn... I went put-putting with Venture tonight, tied for the third best score out of nine. Not bad, considering I usually suck at mini-golf, and I've been having a small problem with my Karma recently... but hey! I completely forgot where I was going with this. And instead of deleting it, I leave it here for your amusement. How nice of me...

Monday, March 24th
You know what? This turned out really well for a Monday!
Reviews, etc. by Xar, etc. Check it out...
Hmm... Trying hard to think of something interesting about today... Ha! There's something. In biology, we had to look for protists in pond water, only the pond water must have been sterilized in bleach or something, because there was no life anywhere! Anyway, we're supposed to have six drawings for tomorrow... not going to happen! English was reading, Tale of Two Cities is going kind of slow, I find myself using the plot notes to comprehend the book (For all of you in the same situation, I direct you to the bottom of the "links" list on the left.) Unfortunately, I heard today that the company that sold me that CD player went bankrupt, so we'll see if that actually ships... I've already got Xar ready to buy my old one.

Sunday, March 23rd
Sundays are nice, especially when I have very little homework!
Everyone wants a free cupholder, don't you?
I don't know why I'm even posting this today, seeing as I didn't do ANYTHING today... Oh well. At least I had fun doing NOTHING! Ha ha ha... Tomorrow it's back to school... oh boy. Still looking for offers on that CD player, just let me know!

Saturday, March 22nd
It's Saturday. Hey, no complaints here!
Look at this CD player! (And good thing I didn't pay this much for it!)
Well, I finally got a new CD player, which I've been meaning to do for quite some time... This means I have an old one for sale. It's a Memorex MP3-CD player, decent condition, sells for $45 used on amazon.com. Since I'm not giving up the car kit, I'll sell it for $35. I will throw in the user's manual and the tape adapter, just not the power plugs. Batteries work just fine, overall a very good CD player. Make me an offer for this CD player! Anyway, now that I'm done advertising, I have a couple things to say about my day. I'm going to have to make Xar let me review Dreamcatcher for him, so go there and read what I thought about that... Also, my advice for the day is not to sit near Kevin Hanna during a movie, unless you don't mind sarcasm. (I don't, I thought his comments were hilarious!) Another thought: what kind of person could get kicked out of WallMart? What level of society would that put someone on? Just curious...

Friday, March 21st
It's Friday, it's Spring, I'm passing Spanish, and all is good in the land of Forrest...
Since I'm too lazy to look for another site right now, here's Xar...
I was thinking to myself today, (no stupid comments about that one, I tend to do that once in a while!), hey! I wonder if anyone really reads this. I only know of one person besides myself. So I'll tell you what. Send me an email, and tell me you read this. If you don't read this, you won't be sending me an email, now will you? Send me mail now! There. Now that you've done that, You can hear how my day went... well, most of it. World History was interesting, Joe kept trying to push his socialist beliefs on the rest of the group, and five minutes later someone presenting their project says "Nobody likes a nazi, nobody likes a facist, and nobody likes a socialist." He decided that maybe he would change his political views a little bit... Then came biology, where we played a stupid little game of memory and tried to avoid Dennis, who had fallen victim to some cheap Mexican food. (He would actually try and do "drive-bys" on other tables!) After that, there was nothing wonderfully interesting, besides getting tolo pictures back. If you want one, just let me know. Now that I've run out of things to say, I'll stop typing

Thursday, March 20th
War on Iraq: Day 1
Let me know what you think of this faceplate!
Another pretty normal day in school, except we had a speaker come in during math and explain the difference between college and high school math. All he really did was give a very non-optimistic view on our future of failing college math courses. I feel motivated already... We played a fun vocab game in spanish today, which reminds me: I should study for that test tomorow. Oh well, the words aren't too hard. Apparently they're working on the field show for next fall, so it will be interesting to see how that goes. For more information on that, I guess you'll have to see the band page. (It's in the links section on the left!)

Wednesday, March 19th
Math team competition: Just as fun as it sounds!
Homestarrunner.com, the source for your Trogdor!
Well, school went by pretty fast today. I really didn't do too much that is worth tellng anyone about. Oh, we start bombing Iraq today. Hmmm... Lemme know what you think about that. Oh yeah. The math team thing. It wasn't too bad, except that we messed up on our team problem. We placed third on one thing, and someone who didn't want to go to state is going now. If that seems kind of random, well it is. So tough. Oh yeah, and I lent Tyson $10, so I'll be expecting that back soon...

Tuesday, March 18th
Much better than yesterday! (Much better...)
Introducing random weblinks that I find amusing, found underneath this italic stuff!

Online palm reader
Again, the message above describes today quite well. My warning on AIM is down to 7! Unfortunately, I'm having trouble publishing my blog, so it may be a while before this appears on my page... School wasn't too bad today, the pizza didn't even smell like manure (although I did smell it before I bought it...) I helped at Fruit Valley again after school today, then I sorta kinda skimmed through 100 pages of Tale of Two Cities. (Ok, so I read the plot notes, while reading selections of the book that i didn't get through the notes, but it works the same.) Now I'm going to finish another one of my health classes...

Monday, March 17th
Not the best day in the history of the world
I think the little italic message says it all. I missed every single light this morning on my way to school. Next, I got into jazz band, only to realize that Chris Apling boosted by AIM warning back up to 90. If anyone has any good revenge ideas, please let me know! Then I had a string of incredibly boring classes, from Biology (Mr. Dickey is possibly the most boring teacher alive) to Algebra II (only about two hours of homework from THIS class!) Not too much going on now, so that's why I'm posting this...

Sunday, March 16, 2003

Sunday, March 16th
From now on, every day will have an italic message like this one!
Well, it's Sunday. And that means homework. Fortunately I didn't have too much, partly because I was gone on Friday, and partly because my teachers are lazy. Oh well, it works out in the end. I went rollerblading today for the first time in a long time, and realized why. I think I melted something into my wheels, and they don't really work all that well. The time was cut short when the police closed off the trail to catch a crazy guy. He was jumping up and down on the pedestrian bridge, looking down at traffic and trying to jump whenever a car went under the bridge. I've seen crazier...

Saturday, March 15th
Last night, I went up to the Boy Scout snow lodge on Mt. Hood. It rained all night, so I didn't do any tubign until this morning. Very fun, although there really wasn't that much snow. Oh well. I realized, as I was trying to get to sleep with my earplugs in, that I really don't like middle schoolers. This evening, I'm going to see a movie with Jenn.

Friday, March 14th
This morning sucked. Wow. We waited for the busses to show up, then we were told that there were no busses. So I had to go to my 2nd and 3rd period classes with none of my stuff or my homework. Grrrrrr... We walked to Alki at 11:00, played there for a while, then hung out in the band room during 6th period. Really not a good experience, plus about 20 people skipped. They're in trouble now...

Thursday, March 13, 2003

Thursday, March 13th
Well now... Another Thursday that feels like a Friday! Wish I could have more of those... Didn't quite fail my scales tests in Jazz band this morning, but I didn't quite pass them either. Oh well, it's not like Robertson usually changes anyones grade in the class if they can't play the scales. Cool movie on WWI in World History today. Oh yeah, and we got to see Fleck's twin. Kinda scary how they look so much alike. Good thing there aren't more Dickeys, or we'd be in trouble! I didn't do much else this afternoon, but this evening I went to the Discovery band concert. Surprisingly decent, considering Spenser told me not to go or my ears would kill themselves...

Wednesday, March 12, 2003

Wednesday, March 12th
Since my two readers have complained about this site being a tiny bit boring, I'll do my best to let my sarcasm fly from now on! Power on the garage door now only works for me! No complaints there, I guess I'm the one who doesn't get to crawl through the doggy door. Math class was interesting today, apparently we're supposed to go impossibly fast on these little multiple choice test things, and if we don't, we're in trouble. Great news, seeing as I won't be in class on Friday... Got my haircut today afterschool, then did a whole bunch of things about halfway, and nothing all the way. If that doesn't make sense, then too bad. I'll include a translation: I did a bunch of stuff that amounted to nothing, and for doing nothing, I did a bunch of stuff. So there. A more entertaining view on my day, courtesy of Forrest...

Tuesday, March 11, 2003

Tuesday, March 11th
The morning got off to an interesting start when we found that the circuit breaker for the garage kept tripping. No power for the lights or garage doors. Hmm... That could get old fast! We had an elective fair at school today, we got to go around and listen to people talk about different electives. Not terribly useful, insce I already know what I'm talking next year, but it made all my other classes shorter. Random scales tests in band today, no problem. Aced them both. Just hope the test in Jazz Band isn't for a while... Not too good at those (and neither is anyone else!) I helped at Fruit Valley after school, now I'm headed to a Venture meeting. Probably better figure out where that is...

Monday, March 10th
Well, It was another Monday. Oh boy. Turns out I really didn't miss much at school on Friday. School was pretty much the same as always, nothing new. I had my trombone lesson this afternoon, I'm supposed to work on relaxing my playing. Sounds good. I had scouts too, I'm finishing up my Eagle reqired badges, hope to finish that up within a year. Looks like I have a little bit of time to read some Gandhi now...

Sunday, March 9th
After 5 hours of sleep, I got up to go snowboarding. It was fun, except for the weather. It started out snowing, then turned to freezing rain, then became cold rain. Other than that, it was great fun. I think I'm getting pretty good on snowboard, especially for my second time!

Saturday, March 8th (Cont.)
T O L O !
Tolo was great. April picked me up at 6:00, we had dinner at her house with her brother, his date, and some other people. The dance was fun, the music was good too. Can't wait to see how the pictures turn out...

Saturday, March 08, 2003

Saturday, March 8th
Absolutely nothing to say about today. It was just a day of finishing up homework and stuff like that. I'm going to tolo tonight, then snowboarding tomorrow, so I'll post about tolo tomorrow if I get a chance.

Friday, March 07, 2003

Friday, March 7th
Band competition today. Quite a few stories there... David drove himeslf, so I put my trombone in his car. As always, he showed up 15 minutes late, along with all the people who missed the bus. After doing sightreading, we went over to the cramped concert hall and listened to some bands, then we warmed up and played our three songs. We sounded ok, but we didn't take first or second place. We got back to school around 2:10, and we still hadn't had lunch, so we went to lunch at Burgerville. Now I'm home, and looking forward to TOLO tomorrow and snowboarding on Sunday in FIVE FEET OF FRESH POWDER!

Thursday, March 06, 2003

Thursday, March 6th
I love sleeping in until 8:00 on school days and not being late for class. (In other words, late arrivals are nice!) Plus, today was a psudo-Friday, because there's a band competition tomorrow all day. I helped out at Discovery this afternoon for two hours, then I did some work at home. Right now, I'm trying to figure out why my AIM suddenly died. If I figure it out, I'll be online again soon!

Wednesday, March 05, 2003

Wednesday, March 5th
Overall, not a bad day. World history was bad, nobody did the homework so we all had to make an outline of 20 pages from the book, then we take a test on it tomorrow. The moral of this story: when in doubt, do it! (Exception: Hattan's class. Nobody does, and she doesn't expect it either.) The rest of the day went well, I think I did well on the Spanish test. Band practice after school, then home for homework. (Fun, fun, fun!) Tomorrow's a late arrival, so I can sleep in for an extra 2.5 hours.

Tuesday, March 04, 2003

Tuesday, March 4th
Caffene withdrawl sucks bad. No more pop, just 4oz of (frozen) juice. Helped out at Fruit Valley today, also had an honors breakfast during school. Just finishing up homework, I'll probably just relax and "hacer slackeroville" tonight.

Monday, March 03, 2003

Monday, March 3rd
Mondays are cut! Now that you know that, here's what happened today: nada mucho! Went to school, didn't do too much. They took away the pop at lunches, so I guess we'll have to bring in our own. (Nothing like going into caffene withdrawl!) Had a trombone lesson and went to scouts tonight, other than that a pretty quiet evening! Hasta manana...

Sunday, March 02, 2003

Sunday, March 2nd
After a lazy morning reading Gandhi and writing an essay for history, I went to see The Producers. For those of you who don't know what it is about, and are too lazy to go somewhere else to look, I'll summarize it here. Two guys get together to make the worst play ever, hoping to make money by selling more tahn 100% of the rights. Somehow, their play about a gay Hitler in the Springtime is a success, and they both wind up in jail. Very amusing overall. After that, I went out for dinner in downtown Portland. Not too excited about getting up early for school tomorrow, but oh well. I'm going to watch the Simpsons now, unless it's a rerun...

Saturday, March 1st
Nothing like a lazy Saturday... I went shopping in the morning to find my book for English and get a pair of hiking shoes, but I didn't find either. The book came in the mail from the library, it turns out I had the title wrong. I went rowing in the afternoon, then pretty much sat around for the rest of the day. I'm going to watch "XXX" tonight, and maybe finish "Carrie".
