Today I was backpacking along the Deschutes. It was hot, but a lot of fun. Found some snakes, none of them were rattlesnakes though. I'd have to say that the highlight of the trip was climbing the huge hills around camp. I took four two-mile trips up and down the hills, which must have been about 1000 feet high, and 45 degrees. Hard work, but good view. Hope some of the pictures come out well. I'm tired now, and since I'm posting this on Sunday, it loses some of the "newness". Oh well.
