SUMMERTIME!
Email me if you want mail from PERU (two days left!)

COUNTDOWN: 2 Months, 24 Days until I turn 16!

Ok... so it has been quite some time since my last post! You know what I think about that? Who cares! I'm on vacation. Yeah... and about vacation... I leave for Peru on Saturday. Sometime while I'm gone, my email will change from forvines@attbi.com to forvines@comcast.net, or so I hope. If it does, and a bunch of you get erally annoying messages from me everytime you send me a message.... actually, I really couldn't care much less :) So.... while I'm in Peru, I will have access to email. I set up my hotmail account forvines@hotmail.com that I should be able to check a few times a week. If you need to tell me something, tell me through that. If Xar ever gets around to sending me that Java script, I might write a few posts ahead of time that will mysteriously appear on here while I'm gone. But I might not! (Especially if I never get the code!) Anywho... just packing, talking to people online, poolaring with Paul... I could really get used to this summer thing!

Oh yeah, In case you haven't heard, I climbed Mt. St. Helens last Tuesday. Here are the pictures! Great hike, I reccomend it to anyone under 50 in resonably good physical shape. Yeah.... anywho.... nothing really good to rant about here, guess I'll make my last post for a while tomorrow!

L A S T D A Y O F S C H O O L!
Email me if you want mail from PERU (one week left!)

COUNTDOWN: 3 Months, 2 Days until I turn 16!

Well, keeping with Paul and Thomas on their blogs, I will use today to review each of my teachers / classes. For the most part, I agree with Thomas and Paul

Periods 0 / 6: Mr. Robertson
For the most part, these were really good classes. Jazz band and wind ensemble. Other than the slight lack of organization, there were no problems and I certainly learned a lot!

Period 1: Mr Emerson (AP World History)
Wow. I certainly learned a lot in world history this year, and Mr. Emerson knew exactly what was important and how to teach it. This was a good class to have, but first period wasn't as good because we weren't as awake and ready to participate in discussions. I really enjoyed this class, and I certainly respect Mr. Emerson as a teacher and a person

Period 2: Fleck (SMT Biology)
What can you say about Fleck? He is one of the smartest teachers I have ever had, and aslo one of the most fun. The three months with Mr. Dickey were not good, they made me realize how much we've been spoiled by Fleck (and Ramsey) the last two years. Great stories and jokes made this class fun, but looking back I really learned a lot.

Period 3: Mrs. VA (Pre-AP English)
Although I really didn't like this class, I have to admit that I learned a lot. That seems to be a pattern with English classes where I learn a lot, they are absolutely no fun! (Thinking back to Mr. Simonds in 7th grade here...) I really don't know what I learned, actually I think it was mostly reading for analysis instead of comprehension. I had most of the writing stuff, that was from 7th grade. Although this was one of my least interesting and fun classes, I actually did learn stuff, so I have to give Mrs. VA some credit for that.

Period 4: Mrs. Hattan (SMT Algebra II)
Um... I think we all learned a valuable lesson this year: multitasking and Mrs. Hattan aren't good combinations. She really did know what she was talking about, she just didn't know how to teach it, especially two different subjects to two different classes. Anyway... I think my 99.4% with an almost complete lack of comprehension shows how hard that class really was, Waaay too easy!

Period 5: Mr. Russell (Spanish 3)
This was a really fun class. Mr. Russell's ADD, combined with Trucha, Andrea, Marian, Claudia, Casey, Paul... great class. Wow, this was such a change over last year when I had Mrs. Shipley. I learned a lot of stuff this year and had fun, and learned it right. Last year: no fun, no learning, and it was wrong. Hmm... this was probably one of my favorite classes, along with biology and history.

Anyway, now that this year is over, I have to figure out scheduling for next year!
Jazz band
Band
AP US history
AP English
AP Chemistry (or AP Physics???)
Web publishing (or video productions)
Pre-Calculus

Most of the choices depend on scheduling conflicts, especially the tech classes. Um... that's about all for now, so I guess I'll post more tomorrow!

SUMMER

TWO MORE DAYS!!!!!!
Elbosque.blogspot.com, nothing like blogs in Spanish!

COUNTDOWN: 2 SCHOOL DAYS

Hmmm... don't know exactly where I got the link, just tried typing in other things to see what other addresses I could have had. Do you know that forrest.blogspot.com and Bosque.blogspot.com are really dumb? One post! Wow, even the killer lemming has that beat! Hmm... oh, thank all of you for signing my guestbook! Anywho... Ahh, Devin asked why I'm going to Peru. Why not? I'm going to climb Maccu Piccu, raft a river and go biking in the Amazon. I'll be in and out of Cuzco and Lima, so let me know if you want me to email you. I'll set up a hotmail account that I should be able to access every once in a while (twice a week, maybe). Just studying for finals... yeah right. I don't have any real finals tomorrow except for english. Then Friday is math and spanish, but I'm not really worried about math. At all. Ha ha! Just Spanish... hmm... Yay! My last class on Friday is lunch, so that basically means I can leave whenever I want.

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!!
MINICLIP.COM, home of a really good pool game

COUNTDOWN: 4 SCHOOL DAYS

Wow, last week of school! YAY! Graduation is tonight, probably hear about that tomorrow. I'm doing all these STUPID PDP's, as seen on Thomas' blog in his list of things he hates about high school. We all agree about that one! Anyway... wow. Not much to say right now. Oh yeah: Flecks biology test was kinda hard, but I've taken worse. I figue that means I'll get a "B". When I think I fail them, I usually do. Either that or I do really well. When I think I did ok, I always do ok. When I think I do well... it usually isn't good. Same applies for math tests. Speaking of math tests... what's with that test we were taking today? Is it just me or are we actually supposed to be taught this stuff before they test us on it??? Arrgh. Hmmm... I'm running out of good stuff to say. Wow. Oh yeah, anyone who wants emails from peru, EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW! I'll be setting up a hotmail account that I can access maybe a few times a week, so I'll send updates back. I wont be able to update my blog then, so you'll all have to be patient. Yeah, whatever. You've already tuned me out. Fine, see if I care!

Sunday, June 15th
Oh wow, been a while, huh?
Wow, this is cool! SEND ME SOME LINKS!

COUNTDOWN: 5 SCHOOL DAYS

Wow! I should remember to post on here more often. Actually, I've started several posts over the last few days. But I always forget what I was about to say or I close the window... yeah. So i've been busy... doing stuff. 5 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL! Most schools are out already but noooooo, not us! We have to go to school right until summer starts, June 20th! Arrgh... and then they moved band camp up a week so we only have 7 weeks between the end of school and band camp. Grrr... It was a really tough week last week, but this week should be better. Finals the last day of school! NOOOOOO! I hate it when they do that to us, it makes it really hard to concentrate. Plus we don't have our slacker day at the end. Wow, that was a random rant. Oh, check out Paul and Thomas' blogs! Quite impressive. I'd add something, but it looks like Paul did a very thorough rebuttal. 5 MORE DAYS! YAY!

Oh, Hi Kaela! Thanks for signing the guest book! Its beeng great chatting with you, can't wait to meet you sometime! Keep sending those pictures.

By the way, if anyone else is reading this who hasnt signed the guestbook... DO IT NOW! :)... thats all!

Wednesday, June 11th
Plenty to say
Wow, this is cool! Look at this link!

COUNTDOWN: 7 SCHOOL DAYS

Wow, this week is only half over... good and bad. Good, because there are only 7 more days of school! Bad, because each day seems to be going slower. Seriously, I felt like I was at school for 20 hours today! Hmmm... so what has happened recently that I want to share... remember that mower I used to complain about? Well, it's finally dead! I took it out to mow last night, and the oil leak started again. It started smoking, eventually backfired and started to choke. I had to hose it down for quite a while to put the fire out! On a completely unrelated note, we've been dissecting minks in biology class. Kinda fun, kinda gross... they don't smell good at all and they have already been skinned, so they look a little scary. Finals coming up in the next week, gotta get ready! (Fun, fun, fun!) Oh yeah, I got my yearbook today. MUCH better than last years. First, it is in color. Second, they spelled things right. They may have made a few mistakes, but I haven't noticed anything yet. Oh, in case you haven't figured it out yet, the link at the top goes to my email. SEND ME A FRICKIN MESSAGE IF YOU READ THIS BLOG, GOT IT? Well, ok. You don't have to message me. But at least sign the guestbook if you haven't done so already, ok? Sigh... 7 days!

Monday, June 9th
Nothing to say
EMAIL ME IF YOU READ THIS!!!

COUNTDOWN: 9 SCHOOL DAYS

Nothing much to say, so here's a song:

Days swiftly come and go.
I'm dreaming of her
She's seeing other guys
Emotions they stir
The sun is gone.
The nights are long
And I am left while the tears fall.

Did you think that I would cry,
on the phone?
Do you know what it feels like,
being alone?
I'll find someone new

Swing, Swing, Swing from the tangles of
My heart is crushed by a former love
Can you help me find a way
To carry on again.

Wish cast into the sky
I'm moving on
Sweet beginnings do arise
She knows I was wrong
The notes are old,
They bend, they fold
and so do I to a new love.

Bury me
(you thought your problems were gone)
Carry me
(away. away, away...)

Sunday, June 8th
Dog Mountain is steeper than it looks!
What Monty Python character would you be?

COUNTDOWN: 10 SCHOOL DAYS

So... Climbed Dog Mountain today. See Bosk's hikes for more on that. Got back, finished writing my solo for jazz band tomorrow. Not much to say really... time for another rant on driving. Was today national drive-45-in-the-60-zone day, and nobody told me about it, or were people just being stupid? Seriously, there were so many cars going out to the gorge going more than 10 miles an hour below the speed limit. Most of them seemed totally oblivious to the fact that other people were on the road. This is why I am glad someone invented passing lanes and rude gestures with fingers. Well, ok... it was my dad driving, so the finger thing didn't happen. But it should have! If you aren't going to go the speed limit, and there is no obvious reason you are getting in my way, GET OFF THE ROAD! That's all.

Saturday, June 7th
Absolutely NOTHING to say here today
What Simpsons character would you be?

COUNTDOWN: 10 SCHOOL DAYS

Well, not that much to say about today. Rode 10 miles from home to Parsley Center and back. (10 mile round trip.) Pretty good workout, plus I did it before it got really hot out. Always a plus. Had brunch out, then went to the Clark County Youth Achievement Award ceremony. Saw a bunch of people I know: Xar, Kevin, Jillian... more people too, but thats about all I remember now. Watched Minority Report tonight, great movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it! Now for today's mini-rant: long grass on the road. We were coming off Whitney Road, where it meets Fruit Valley, and the grass is really tall. We turn out, and out of nowhere this short black convertible appears. It slams on its breaks and swerves into the other lane, we stop the car, the driver of the convertible is just glaring at us. If there had been a crash, it would have been my mom's fault, but neither of us could see the car coming through the grass. Grrr... stupid things like that suck.

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!
What kind of Dictator would you be?

COUNTDOWN: 10 SCHOOL DAYS

Um... yeah. So I didn't post last night. I don't care! Plenty of interesting stuff to talk about today though. During first period, Emerson made us all go down to the gym and help sign in the Model UN people. Not bad, beat work! I saw Weston, he hasn't changed at all since 7th grade. I'm at least 3 inches taller than him, about time! English class was kinda dumb, we got kicked out of the 700 wing for MUN, so we were in the 800 forum. Then, in math, I was the only one from out 5 person Algebra II class there. Really sucked. But Hattan mostly left me alone, so that was good. It was really hot today! Really, really hot. As in so hot, that my hair gel melted to my sunglasses. Not fun, not fun at all. I would like to take this time to personally thank the inventor of air conditioning! I went out to take some pictures of the great sunset tonight. Really nice out, probably down to 85 or 90 degrees. Lotsa bugs out, just ask Paul. Looked like a freakin' tornado! Supposed to be warm tomorrow too, I'll probably ride my bike in the morning, either that or mow the lawn. Uggh. Anyway, thats about it. Nothing great going on now, just can't wait for school to be out!

Wednesday, June 4th
Early Release!
Yet another cool thing to try with AIM

COUNTDOWN: 12 SCHOOL DAYS

Getting out at 12:25 was really weird... and it was hot out! I'm not really sure why I bothered to eat lunch today, seeing as lunch starts at 10:25 and we get out of school at lunch time. It was over 90 degrees today, and its supposed to get a lot warmer as the week goes on. Good thing we're not doing the Grand Floral Parade this weekend, that would suck. 6th period was fun today, Robertson dissappeared to go over to Chinook with the Steel Drums. Anyone with keys was out of the room within five minutes. Only 3 months, 19 days until I get my license! Wow, that seems like such a long time. Hmmm... what else to say... oh yeah: I'm staying out of that whole Natalya thing. Don't want to get involved, it's safer that way. Much, much safer. Oh, here's something else: SIGN MY GUESTBOOK IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE IT!!! My counter is registering between 6 and 8 visitors a day, and only four of you have bothered to sign it. I really don't care what you say, just wanna know who is reading this. That's about all for now, no rambling filler like last night.

Tuesday, June 3rd
THREE MORE WEEKS!
Last chance for the web counter link!

COUNTDOWN: 13 SCHOOL DAYS

Wow. I've never seen a computer go from perfectly normal to DEAD in 5 minutes. Until today that is. For some reason, my mom's computer won't send any signals to the monitor. Or log on to the network. So, until that changes, she doesn't have a computer. Not good. At least it wasn't dads, because he has the internet connection we share on the network. Anyway, no clue what the heck that evil machine is doing now. Hmmm... It appears that Xar finally did it. And, according to Paul and the Killer Lemming, it wasn't that funny. Darn. Xar, you did it all wrong! I don't know how, but you did. Anyway, that's about all for today. Don't complain about how boring this post was, you could have stopped reading if you wanted to. Unless someone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read this, in which case you probably shouldn't have pissed off someone with a gun. Yeah, bad idea. Anyway, I stopped saying things long ago, so I'll stop typing now.

Monday, June 2nd
THREE MORE WEEKS!
SEND ME MORE GOOD LINKS!!!

COUNTDOWN: 14 SCHOOL DAYS

Wow. The zoo. I think it's probably better when you're a little kid, because you are like "oh, cool! the zoo!". And you are one of the little kindergardeners, not one of the sophomores that are twice the height of the little kids. I can't really say I like little kids. Oh sure, they can be nice sometimes, but not by the thousands. The only thing more scary than 1000 little kids is... the spiders at my house! Seriously, the past few days I've been finding larger and larger spiders. I'm talking an inch or two, covered in hair, and jumping. Not fun. Anybody have suggestions besides shooting them, let me know. I need ideas. That's about all for tonight.

Sunday, June 01, 2003

Sunday, June 1st
June? June! Wow!
Kazaa Lite, P2P without the Spyware

COUNTDOWN: 15 SCHOOL DAYS

Well, it's been a while. Mostly because I had nothing really to say, and no time to say it. Hmm... Starlight Parade was yesterday, last marching band thing of the year until next August. We were between the Z100 float and the budweiser horses, with the horses behind us. Very good position to be in! Busses got blocked in, so we didn't get back to Vancouver until 11:00 ish. It was good to see Alli (hi! I know you read this now!) hadn't seen her since January. Wow, time is going by fast. Yesterday marked four weeks with April, and four weeks until the Peru trip. Only seven real weeks of summer, then it's back to band camp! Zoo field trip tomorrow, so I better go pack a lunch. Somehow Fleck's description of the food didn't sound too appetizing!
