L A S T D A Y O F S C H O O L!
Email me if you want mail from PERU (one week left!)

COUNTDOWN: 3 Months, 2 Days until I turn 16!

Well, keeping with Paul and Thomas on their blogs, I will use today to review each of my teachers / classes. For the most part, I agree with Thomas and Paul

Periods 0 / 6: Mr. Robertson
For the most part, these were really good classes. Jazz band and wind ensemble. Other than the slight lack of organization, there were no problems and I certainly learned a lot!

Period 1: Mr Emerson (AP World History)
Wow. I certainly learned a lot in world history this year, and Mr. Emerson knew exactly what was important and how to teach it. This was a good class to have, but first period wasn't as good because we weren't as awake and ready to participate in discussions. I really enjoyed this class, and I certainly respect Mr. Emerson as a teacher and a person

Period 2: Fleck (SMT Biology)
What can you say about Fleck? He is one of the smartest teachers I have ever had, and aslo one of the most fun. The three months with Mr. Dickey were not good, they made me realize how much we've been spoiled by Fleck (and Ramsey) the last two years. Great stories and jokes made this class fun, but looking back I really learned a lot.

Period 3: Mrs. VA (Pre-AP English)
Although I really didn't like this class, I have to admit that I learned a lot. That seems to be a pattern with English classes where I learn a lot, they are absolutely no fun! (Thinking back to Mr. Simonds in 7th grade here...) I really don't know what I learned, actually I think it was mostly reading for analysis instead of comprehension. I had most of the writing stuff, that was from 7th grade. Although this was one of my least interesting and fun classes, I actually did learn stuff, so I have to give Mrs. VA some credit for that.

Period 4: Mrs. Hattan (SMT Algebra II)
Um... I think we all learned a valuable lesson this year: multitasking and Mrs. Hattan aren't good combinations. She really did know what she was talking about, she just didn't know how to teach it, especially two different subjects to two different classes. Anyway... I think my 99.4% with an almost complete lack of comprehension shows how hard that class really was, Waaay too easy!

Period 5: Mr. Russell (Spanish 3)
This was a really fun class. Mr. Russell's ADD, combined with Trucha, Andrea, Marian, Claudia, Casey, Paul... great class. Wow, this was such a change over last year when I had Mrs. Shipley. I learned a lot of stuff this year and had fun, and learned it right. Last year: no fun, no learning, and it was wrong. Hmm... this was probably one of my favorite classes, along with biology and history.

Anyway, now that this year is over, I have to figure out scheduling for next year!
Jazz band
Band
AP US history
AP English
AP Chemistry (or AP Physics???)
Web publishing (or video productions)
Pre-Calculus

Most of the choices depend on scheduling conflicts, especially the tech classes. Um... that's about all for now, so I guess I'll post more tomorrow!
