Back from Antarctica

Pictures should be up sometime this week

Tuesday, December 16, 2003

Ok... fine... I'll post. Never mind that it has been almost two weeks, and that I dont really have an excuse for my lack of new material here. Besides laziness, but I suppose that doesn't really count. I'd just like to say that while hard work may pay off eventually, laziness pays off now! I'd also like to direct any of my readers who appreciated that quote to this wonderful link. Amusing "demotivational" posters and sayings for your everyday life. Maybe dan can find a new comeback! Lets see... tardblog.com Here's a link to a blog by a special-ed teacher. Very amusing. None of you will particularly care to hear what I've been up to the last two weeks, since I'm guessing that most of my readers see me throughout the day. If I'm wrong there, then why haven't more people signed my guestbook?? Found Saddam... finally, took them long enough... Ughh... essays and tests this week, getting ready for break. Yay! No school for me on Friday! Winter vacation in Antarctica starts a day early for me. With any luck, I'll post once more before I leave, but I may not, so don't expect too much for the next few weeks. I won't have any internet access after the first few days, so don't do anything too stupid on Egil, or I'll have to get my revenge when I get back. Merry Christmas!

Yea, so there hasn't been too much to say for a while. (Or at least that I feel like sharing with all of you! Haha. ) School has been incredibly easy, I haven't had actual homework this week, and it's already Thursday! Jazz stuff for the next few days, so if you don't see me online, that's why! It appears Dan beat me to my post idea, not hard, since I haven't posted in quite some time now, but I'll use it anyway.

0 Period - Jazz Band
Too early. Way too early. Not bad otherwise, but 6:30???? Still, I guess I get first choice of parking spots.

1st Period - AP English
Nothing personal at all against the teacher, but the class itself is a large waste of time. We have read only one book and done very few essays. Most of this is probably because many of the people in the class just don't care, and cant seem to finish a 10 page reading assignment during a full class period. Please see my survey in the sidebar.

2nd Period - Video Production
Fun class. Great people, no homework (not that its really a problem in other classes either...) and we get to make videos of the most random stuff. No complaints at all.

3rd Period - AP Chemistry
See Thomas' Blog for a very accurate description of how to go about this class.

4th Period - AP US History
This is probably my favorite class. The active teaching style, interesting lessons and inherent randomness in the class make it very interesting, and unlike AP English, the people in the class appear to be able to handle the AP work.

5th Period - AP Statistics
Much, much better than Pre-Calculus. Much better than Hook's class. Given that, I really have no right to complain about this class. There isn't too much work, and we generally learn what we're supposed to by the time we get tested on it. Hey, its math at Skyview, give it a break.

6th Period - Band
Last class, and not a bad one at that. I am in the back of the room in the "blind spot" where we can do basically anything without people noticing. Not quite anything, but pretty close. Also a good class because when we get out early, its a whole 20 feet to the car.

This year seems a lot easier than the last two years, even freshman year wasn't this easy. The more AP classes I take, the easier it is... hmm... I'll have to keep that in mind!
