Another one bites the dust
Another weekend down. This week was pretty much a waste, I think I've actually had almost 10 minutes of homework in the past three weeks. Looks like a lot of the AP classes are really winding down now that we're past the tests.
Friday night was poker and Family Guy at Goose's with me, Goose, Jesse and Kevin. Amy showed up after a bit, it was a good time overall. Note to self: Diet squirt - not so good. Cup of liquid cancer, anyone?
Woke up on Saturday to some unpleasant surprises. First, I had mysterously developed a great chest cold and cough overnight, wearing out my throat and voice. Second, the sun had disappeared and it was raining. Crap. Hazel Dell Parade.
The parade wasn't that bad. Met J-dub and Kevin at the DMV (end of the parade) and rode with Jesse to Safeway (beginning of the parade.) It was somewhere between misting and raining for most of the parade, so I got to carry 2 pounds of wet wool in addition to 6 pounds of cold steel for a few miles. Good workout! After the parade, I helped drive people back to the beginning of the parade, wouldn't have been a fun walk in the rain, with a band uniform and such.
Most of the afternoon was spent laying on the bed with the laptop, drifting between alertness and sleep. Around 5, plans started forming for a movie night at my house. (Remember... Hockinson is farther east than it seems!) Ashlie managed not to get me lost going to Kelsey's house, and considering you can see the curvature of the earth from there, that's impressive. We met up with some friends from Centennial (Kaela, Katie and Rick) and Goose and Cabalfin showed up too. Watched Zoolander and just hung out, it was quite fun for several reasons, and im not going there. Here's a picture of the SHS band people, thanks Kaela!
Today wasn't bad, I mowed part of the bank down by the lake (looks like I'll be getting a good deal of cash from that, its taking a long time since its so thick and wet... umm... that sounded dirty!) Xar had his Eagle ceremony today, so that occupied most of my afternoon, the remainder of which was spent in front of some sort of screen.
Looking forward to another pointless (please?) week.
