Sloooow day, this Tuesday
AP Chemistry test today... failed that. Seriously, I'll be lucky to get a 2, although I was really shooting for a 3. There wasn't much on there that I actually knew, there was a lot of stuff I've never seen before. Guess that says something about the teaching in the class, since I was not alone with my opinion on the test. Anyway, we went to Muchas afterwards, got some real, greasy mexican food. Yummy. I showed up for the band playing test in 6th period, then we had parade practice for an hour. Mom got home from Vegas (she spent Mothers Day down there with my grandma) so it looks like I'm back to driving the tank and eating real food again. (Although, the Sequoia has its advantages... it may not be able to do a U-turn, but it can make it through all that stupid Fruit Valley construction a lot better than the Audi.)
Some messed up stuff in the news today. First, avoid speeding for a while. Apparently the state is paying $25,000 in overtime to increase patrols for speeding, especially on the freeways and main roads. On the bright side, maybe they'll clean up the Skyview school zone. SCHOOL ZONE. 20 MPH.
Also in the news, Teen Attacks Boy with Screwdriver. This seems like the kind of thing that would happen in somewhere seriously messed up, like Yakama or California, but no... Vancouver. Greaaat. What's really scary is how I drive by that house a few times a week, including once just over an hour before the whole thing happened. Also scary how many friends I have nearby. I thought my neighborhood was the only one with the violent and crazy people who did stuff like that.
On a lighter note, I added more links to the sidebar, and I shifted a bunch down to the "Inactive" section. If I ever get bored enough (maybe tomorrow, or even later tonight) I may do some work on the colors and stuff, its time for a change. Too much work to customize a new profile, so I'll probably just fix up this one.
Well... I'm out of things to say, but I have plenty of time to say more. Looks like we're down to just projects for the rest of the year, we've learned pretty much all we're going to learn. Some of my classes have almost degreaded to the point of "film appreciation." Oh well. Hazel Dell Parade this Saturday, other than that, I'll have to make some plans for the weekend. By the way, anyone have suggestions on how to keep someone from going home and going to bed at 3:00? I'd appreciate some help there.
