Ups and downs

4 MORE DAYS!

Well, for me anyway, for the few of you not leaving early, it's more like 5. Or, if you go somewhere like Evegreen, make that 7 :-p

So, heres what's happened since I last posted:

School has dragged on. I'm done with almost everything in almost every class, we're watching movies and just doing stupid stuff in all my classes except stats, where I'm learning pre-cal so I can take calculus next year. Good times, except that the tables aren't soft enough to sleep on (although they're probably softer and cleaner than the floor!)

Last weekend was relatively decent... FOB on Friday was mediocre. We went down to PGE park after school and practiced for a half hour, then we had a while free for dinner in P-town. Goose, Evan, Jesse, Ashlie and I walked about 20 minutes to Baja Fresh, which was expensive and only half-decent mexican-style food. Ahh well, it was still fun. The rest of the evening was divided between eating lots of sugar and drinking mountain dew... oh yea, and playing the performance thing too. Got back to school and waited forever for the stupid truck to show up, then we had a late-night Sharis run.

Saturday night was decent as well. Not a whole lot different from most other weekends. As long as people (including me) remember that jokes are jokes, we should be fine... unless someone does that again, in which case I'll prolly flip out and hurt someone ;-)

This week has been ok, but everyone is ready to be out. Graduation was nice on Tuesday, I'm going to miss all you seniors, you better come back and visit! Heh... a senior prank would be nice too, just DONT TOUCH MY CAR! (You can get some other ones though... heh heh.)

Got quite a scare today when I couldn't find my wallet. Figured I left it at home, so I got home and looked... no. Craaaap. Not in the car, the bathroom, my room, the kitchen or laundry room... so I figured it was at school. I guess somehow it got into the laundry (even though i could have sworn i put it in my pocket this morning, must have been in my morning stupor.) So glad to have it back, but its all nice and soggy right now.

So every wednesday, my bro and I have to take out the garbage and recycling. This shouldn't take more than 10 minutes with us both working together, but somehow he always manages to finish 5 minutes after I do. After the past few weeks, I finally made good on my threat to drive down to the road and leave him with the last garbage can to walk down himself (its really not that bad of a walk.) He put up a huge fit about it, so apparently in 3 weeks (next time I'm in the country on a Wednesday) I get to carry the garbage down without a car. What BS... I wasn't against him using the car, I just was sick of waiting 5 minutes for the little prick to decide he wanted to start doing some work. At minimum wage, thats almost 75 cents of my time.

Oh well. I only have 4 days of school left, this time next week I'll be in CHINA!

Someone's got a Case of the Mondays

Wow... Happy Monday!

School kinda crawled by, we really aren't doing much in any of my classes anymore, so I almost don't know why I show up. Lunch at Fred Meyer again, had to turn in that stupid sophomore with the yellow car for a FOURTH TIME. You'd think she'd take the hint that we aren't going to let her park in the lot, but apparently not. She even goes out during lunch and moves her car into better spots sometimes, which is why she gets turned in.

After school, Jesse Ashlie and I went to Baskin Robbins. Then we picked up Jesse and put him in the back of my car and went downtown to look for a guitar amp for Ashlie, and maybe a mixer for me. Well, it turns out that the City of Vancouver likes it when people pay to park in their metered spots, so I returned after almost 45 minutes to a $7 parking ticket. Meh... not a moving violation, so its no big deal.

Went home to get more money so I didn't have to scrape the pennies out the ashtray, then I went back out to pay... and got stuck in a long line of cars, behind a train wreck. I guess 4 train cars left the tracks, one of them was leaking styrene, which apparently was cause to bring out half the firetrucks and cop cars in vancouver. If any of you were looking for a good time to go light something on fire, you missed your chance.

Anyway... that has been my day, I know some people's days were better and some weren't.

I left off in the middle of my last post... where was I...
After mini-golfing, we all went home and got ready for the Starlight Parade. Rode the bus down, stood around for quite a while with the rest of the band. A group of us found a pizza place that had drinks and well, pizza (surprise!). Warmed up, then we had another hour of standing around. Some people came by giving out stickers... I think they were supposed to be monsters, but they looked pretty indecent, so we had fun with them for the better part of an hour. Heh... good times.

The parade itself was long, although I was actually able to play the whole time, I hurt afterwards. The bus ride home was basically a half hour of dirty jokes and songs, but what do you really expect anyway? Hit Goose's house for a few afterwards, then went home and slept. Nothing much happened between then and Monday, so I think you're up to date.

Sunday, again

Well, sorry about the lack of a post from video, the school server kept me from logging on to blogger. Actually, it kept me out of pretty much everything. Fun times. This weekend was pretty decent, Friday night was Harry Potter night. After an incredibly warm band practice (80 degrees feels pretty warm, especially now that its back to 60 and raining) I met up with a group to see Harry Potter. It was by far my favorite of the first three movies, it actually shows the characters as people, despite the occasional lapses of acting talent. After the movie, we stood around in the parking lot for a while, I think we all learned a few things that we didn't want to know. The rent-a-cop started circling, and eventually worked up the courage to come talk to us: "you kids here for a movie?" "yup, just got out." "uhh... oookay then, goodnight." He walked off.

Saturday wasn't bad either. SAT II's werent too hard, band awards thing went well enough. I got the "spirit award" and gave out a lot of the senior awards. Remind me to explain Dan's award when I get the time.

After the band awards thing, we went mini-golfing. Well, more accurately, we went and screwed around at Steakburger. Jesse put on Mallory's jacket and put some golf balls in the chest pockets... looked pretty funny. I suddenly don't feel like writing more, so I'll add more tomorrow.

Lazy

Well, school is still nothing, but I haven't posted much because I'm busy doing stuff after school. Hmm... theres an idea... I'll post more tomorrow, maybe during video, since I have nothing else to do in there!
