Ehhh

So it has been quite a weekend... I guess I'll start with Friday:

Sleep in, Senior breakfast. Go home and pick up mom, pick up the BMW from the repair place (it was getting the skidplate reattached). Go home, sit around for a while until I notice the graduation checks sitting in front of me and decide to go to the bank. Get in the car, leave... this is where things go bad. For those of you who know the road to my house, theres a blind corner where 69th turns into Whitney road. I was just reaching the corner when I saw a red flash and found my neighbor coming into the corner from the other direction, in the middle of the road. About this point, everything sped up in my mind and the next thing I remember is looking out over a now shortened hood.

So the BMW has $3-4k of damage to the front end, with the bumper dislodged, lights destroyed and the wheelwell collapsed. Ouch. 3 hours later it was towed to the autobody shop and we had the basic insurance stuff finished. Now I'm hoping we can get a rental car so I can continue to have transportation.

Saturday was the Grand Floral Parade, the longest and most tiresome parade I've ever done. Not terribly fun, but I guess it was my last high school parade. After the parade I had an interview at Hollywood Video on 78th, which seemed to go reasonably well. The only reason I wouldn't get the job is that im only 17, and they want someone to work the late shift, which would go until possibly midnight... that and my trip, but I was the only one to hand them a resume, so we'll see what happens with that. I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening with Kara.

Today I accomplished basically nothing, but I did manage to go for a 2 hour bike ride.
